Vietnam Memorial - Greenwood Memorial Terrace
"The Wall" - AVTT Traveling Vietnam Wall
Many just call it "The Wall". The AVTT Traveling Vietnam Wall, a replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall in Washington D.C. will be displayed in Spokane at Greenwood Memorial Terrace cemetery October 3 - 6th, 2013, marking the 40th anniversary of the United States' official withdrawal from Vietnam.
This is the largest traveling wall display, measuring 360 feet in length and 8 feet high at its apex, presented by the American Veterans Traveling Tribute and the Texas Freedom Tribute. Fairmount Memorial Association, locally-community owned, is proud to sponsor "The AVTT Traveling Wall". "The Wall" will make its only Eastern Washington appearance in 2013 at Greenwood Memorial Terrace located at 211 North Government Way in Spokane. Eleven years ago was the last time this monument was exhibited in Spokane.
The exact replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall contains 58,195 names of those who died in the Vietnam conflict, including 84 service members from Spokane.
