MEMORIALIZATION
CHOICES FOR CREMATION
We believe it’s important for everyone to have a final place to go.
To visit and reflect on the life of a loved one.
To remember them, now and forever.
CREMATION MEMORIALS
Many people are now choosing cremation, however, many may not be aware of the many options for permanent memorialization available for cremation.
Some people believe that a permanent place of memorialization isn’t important with cremation. While this seems practical, it may be a short-term decision that can lead to regret or confusion in the future.
Permanent memorialization provides a place to visit and remember the meaningful moments and contributions of a loved one.
The good news is that cremation provides a variety of memorialization options that allow for a loved ones unique personality, contributions and their memory to be preserved honorably.
Below are some of the most popular options for cremation memorialization:
OUTDOOR CREMATION NICHES
Columbariums are a collection of niches to hold one or more cremation urns. These memorials can be found at all seven of our parks and come in a variety of sizes, styles, and materials. The images below illustrate the distinct beauty and design of these monuments, to learn more visit our page on columbaria and outdoor niches.
GROUND BURIAL FOR CREMATION
While cremation offers more options for memorialization, sometimes traditional ground burial is the right choice for many families. For the internment of an urn, an urn vault is used to support the soil around the urn and ensure that the soil above and around the urn will not collapse.
FAMILY ESTATES FOR CREMATION
Ensuring that multiple generations of a family are remembered together can be made possible through a family estate. While traditional burial requires the purchase of multiple plots, a private columbarium can easily accommodate multiple urns on a single plot. For families that desire to do something more significant, larger columbaria can also be purchased and placed within fenced off, private areas, often alongside other family members who chose traditional casket burial.
